NWFA Certified Flooring Inspector Qualifications
Becoming a NWFA Certified Flooring Inspector requires in-depth knowledge of the wood flooring industry and its products and passing extremely difficult tests. The inspector must have the experience to determine the cause of failure. The wood flooring inspector must possess the ability to provide this information to the client in a concise, documented report. NWFA CP certified inspector candidates pass a series of written exams. Upon passing, the candidates placed on probation, during which time the NWFA inspection committee must review and pass upon a series of written reports. To maintain certification the inspector must participate in continuing education courses and certify annually.
