
Most flooring failures result from failing to follow the manufacturer or NWFA wood flooring installation guidelines. Inspectors Terry and Kevin Weinheimer have trained with the National Wood Flooring Association.
It is the responsibility of each installer to follow the manufactures guidelines or those of NWFA, whichever the manufacturer states.
Follow the Flooring Installation Guidelines
As part of the inspection process, Certified Flooring Inspectors determine if installation guidelines were followed. Many installations fail with floors not installed to manufacturer or NWFA standards.

We encourage all flooring installer, sales people and dealers to read the NWFA wood flooring installation guidelines. The National Wood Flooring Association is the flooring industry standard.
NWFA guidelines are the recognized standards of most flooring manufacturers. The flooring manufactures guidelines take precedence over NWFA standards. Many flooring manufactures defer to NWFA standards.
